My family and I met with Ms Chivers while I was home on R&R leave and put in our offer. The location was my future duty location where I will PCS following this tour of duty, so not only am I across the world, my wife was not in the local area of our future home either. She was about a four hour drive away across the state of Georgia at Fort Benning. Ms Chivers performance was nothing short of outstanding in showing us homes in the Fort Gordon area. She came to our hotel everyday and picked up my entire family and drove us around. She would always develop a general plan based on our input, but was flexible once we were out and about. She listened attentively to our concerns and made very good suggestions as to where to look. She was very patience with my children and also with my wife and I as we would often suddenly shift direction in our search (We only had 3 days to look for a home during my leave). Furthermore, it is actually a credit to Ms Chivers that we built at all. We decided on new construction after a day or so of our search and on the last day in the area, we had narrowed it down between two newly completed homes. They were both very nice, but we preferred one home's layout and the other homes neighborhood. (Ms Chivers patiently drove us all back and forth at least three times). Without asking, Ms Chivers told us to hold on and she was going to make a call, a few moments later, she informed us that the builder of the floor plan we preferred had lots in the neighborhood we wanted and we could build from scratch allowing us to choose all the amenities, colors, flooring, etc., solving our dilemma. Since I have returned to my overseas duty, Ms Chivers was invaluable negotiating the details with the selling agent and builder, assisting getting documents from the builder to my lender and working hard to meet our closing date. She took the time to send us photographs of our home construction in progress, this was very exciting! Ms Chivers proved to be very professional and knowledgeable I would enthusiastically recommend her to anyone buying or selling in the Augusta/Fort Gordon area.

Because our parents had built and raised our large family in the home almost 60 years ag, selling it was a long and emotional process. We first contacted in 2019! However, Ms. Chivers was steadfast, patient, extremely knowledgeable about the Augusta market and what to expect once we listed the house. She's also fun to work with--an added plus! Ms. Chivers also has dozens of contacts and was able to helps us find contractors, repair people, cleaning services, and organizations that accepted furniture and other household donations that we wanted to give away. Ms. Chivers was easily reached when we had questions and/or concerns. She ALWAYS returned our calls or responded to text message and emails within hours if not minutes. Though she may be one of the most tactful persons that I've ever met, she was always candid even when the truth might not have been exactly what we wanted to hear! :-) Finally, because we were my mother's guardians, there were additional legal questions issues that needed to be considered. Ms. Chivers provided documentation that we needed for the sale. She held our hands from the beginning ( Fall of 2019) through the closing (May of 2021) and we could not be any more grateful for all that she did to assist us during a very emotional transition for my mother and our family.
